STONYKILL

This 2,200 sf single-family residence is another study of the house in the woods. This design was taken in more of a traditional direction, and is a blend of farmhouse and cabin vernacular styles. Raw hemlock siding and rough cedar posts contrast nicely with the metal roof and black divided light windows. Inside, Pine accents and red oak floors, combined with white walls create a bright, warm and calm feeling space. Big windows all around bring the backdrop forest canopy and landscape into the house.
